Why We Love
Balasana
Balasana, or Child’s Pose, is a restorative yoga pose that has been used in Ayurveda for centuries. It is believed to be beneficial for calming the mind and body, reducing stress and anxiety, and improving overall health.
The pose involves sitting on your heels with your knees spread apart and your head bowed towards the floor. Your arms can be either stretched out to the front or placed alongside your body. This pose helps to stretch the lower back, hips, thighs, ankles, and feet while also providing a gentle massage to the spine and abdominal organs. It can also help to improve digestion and reduce fatigue. Additionally, Balasana is said to help balance all three doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—which are responsible for maintaining physical and mental well-being in Ayurvedic medicine.
