Why We Love
Guggul
Guggul is a resin extract derived from the mukul myrrh tree (Commiphora mukul) that has been used in Ayurveda for centuries. It is believed to have many health benefits, including reducing cholesterol and triglyceride levels, treating arthritis and joint pain, aiding digestion, and improving skin health. In Ayurveda, Guggul is often used as a detoxifying agent to help cleanse the body of toxins.
Guggul contains active ingredients known as guggulsterones which are thought to be responsible for its therapeutic effects. Studies have shown that Guggul can reduce cholesterol levels by up to 25%, reduce triglycerides by up to 30%, and improve HDL (good) cholesterol levels. Additionally, Guggul has anti-inflammatory properties which may be beneficial in treating arthritis and other inflammatory conditions.
Guggul is also believed to aid digestion by stimulating the production of bile acids which help break down fats in the digestive tract. Furthermore, it may help improve skin health by reducing acne and other skin conditions such as psoriasis. Finally, Guggul has antioxidant properties which may help protect against oxidative damage caused by free radicals.
