Purusha is a concept in Indian philosophy referring to the Cosmic Self, Cosmic Consciousness, or the Universal Principle. It is often described as the soul, Self, pure consciousness, and the only source of consciousness. Purusha is also referred to as transcendent God or father or supreme Spirit beyond all creation.
