Why We Love

Shatavari

Shatavari, or Asparagus racemosus, is an herb that has been used for centuries in Ayurveda, a traditional system of medicine from India. It is considered both a general tonic and a female reproductive tonic. In Sanskrit, Shatavari means “the plant with hundred roots” due to the many medicinal properties found in its roots.

In Ayurveda, Shatavari is believed to have numerous health benefits including aiding digestion and supporting healthy hormone production. It is also thought to be beneficial for women’s health issues such as premenstrual syndrome (PMS), menopause symptoms, and infertility. Additionally, it may help reduce inflammation and improve immunity.

Shatavari can be taken as a supplement in powder form or as an extract. It can also be brewed into a tea or added to food dishes like curries and soups. When taking Shatavari as a supplement, it is important to follow the recommended dosage on the product label.
