Every minute of the day is a moment to savor. But for us at UMA, the morning time is our favorite. Filled with promise, the first hours of the day give way to the adventures that await. This is the time to engage in our healthy self-care routines, nourish our bodies, and—in the true spirit of Ayurveda—set the tone for the remainder of the day. These are just a few of the reasons we were thrilled to host our recent launch party before noon.
To celebrate our new Absolute Anti Aging Body Balm and Absolute Anti Aging Body Scrub, we hosted a morning of self-care and traditional Ayurvedic rituals in the Beverly Hills fresh air. Upon arrival we invited guests to hydrate and flush out toxins with warm water with lemon, served in a traditional copper vessel. (The copper is touted for its cleansing and ionizing properties.) Then they mingled and ate nourishing Ayurvedic foods including Idli, a traditional breakfast cake from South Indian made of rice and dal. There was a custom UMA oil blending station, as well as hand and foot massages. Later in the morning our friend Tom Morley came by to teach a yoga class. Afterwards, fresh faced and optimistic, our guests mingled with our founder before heading off to tackle the day. It was a mindful, enriching way to spend the first few hours—and celebrate our latest additions.
It also presents a beautiful memory of gathering as we consciously spend time away from crowds and remain grateful for all that we have.
